Lagrave-Martillac is the second wine of Château Latour-Martillac, Grand Cru Classé from the Graves appellation since 1953.
As long ago as 1871, Edouard Kressmann, who had just set up his own wine company specialising in Bordeaux, acted as consultant to the property, which heralded the start of a long partnership still going strong today. In 1930, his eldest son Alfred acquired the estate and many years later a second wine was launched, the brainchild of its current owners, Loïc and Tristan (red wine released in 1986; white wine in 1990).

The name Lagrave-Martillac denotes the magnificent gravel terroir that defines this estate located in the commune of Martillac. Made from selectively harvested parcels, the second wine benefits from exactly the same rigorous care and attention as the fine wine. The grapes are harvested by hand, while each parcel is vinified separately and the wines are then matured in French oak barriques.

  • AOC : Pessac Léognan - Rouge
